Software Tester Job Spec
A Software Tester will join the Quality Assurance team to assist in ensuring quality of work. They will need to contribute towards our technical best practices and innovation forums. As a Software Tester, you would be responsible to ensure that we release reliable, high quality software through thorough testing throughout the project lifecycle. You will work closely with the Development Team. This person will work alongside our QA Coordinator and will report to our Head of Project Management.
Responsibilities
- Review software requirements and prepare test scenarios.
- Executing tests on software usability.
- Analysing test results on database impacts, errors or bugs, and usability.
- Preparing reports an all aspects related to the software testing carried out and reporting to the design team.
- Interacting with clients to understand product requirements.
- Participating in design reviews and providing input on requirements, product design, and potential problems.

- Strong experience in working with Databases.
- Experience in testing marketing and/or real-time decision systems.
- Extensive experience working with test and defect management tools.
- Proven experience in writing pragmatic test strategies, planning test scenarios, writing and executing test plans and test cases, and creation of required test data.
- Strong problem-solving skills, ability to think ahead, with a good eye for detail, and routing out / searching around those dark corners.
- Excellent communication skills at all levels, be an upbeat proactive team player.
- 1+ years’ experience in hands-on testing, ideally having to be a part of a team that implemented software testing for a company.

Minimum Requirement
- Comfortable with learning new IT systems.
- IT-related qualifications advantageous.
- Experience with Jira would be advantageous.
